 Raft Building and Raft Race
Boards. Rope. Barrels. Could
your team build a raft with these limited supplies and
successfully manoeuvre
it?
 Spider's Web
Will the participants manage to get through our Spider's
Web without touching it? Points will be awarded to participants
who manage to succeed in the shortest time possible.
 Trust Me
Participants must guide their blindfolded colleagues
along a pre-defined track. Guiding must be done only
by verbal instructions and holding or touching the
blindfolded mate will disqualify the team. This activity
helps build a sense of trust amongst team mates.
 Tug of War
No introduction is required for this very old game. We
may also organise a Four-Way Tug of War, where four
teams pull from different points.
Hot Stuff
A container is placed in the middle of a large circle
(5m diameter). Another container full of toxic waste
(coloured water) is placed some distance away. The
container has a bungee chord tied around the rim. The
participants will each have a length of rope, which
they have to tie around the bungee chord. Using only
the ropes as guidelines, the contents of the toxic
container have to be emptied inside the other container
within the circle. This operation has to be carried
out outside the circle and stepping inside would result
in loss of points.
 Balance Beam
The centre of a plank is placed on a pivot. The team
now forms itself into a chain (by placing their arms
over each others shoulders) and walks sideways onto
the plank. They have to balance the plank and remain
balanced as long as possible. This is a timed game.
Trolley
The teams will be standing on two ski-like lengths of
wood. Each team member will be holding a rope tied to
the wood. The team will have to co-ordinate between themselves
to walk with the “skis” to the finishing
line. Two teams will be competing against each other
and this is also a timed game.
 Penalty Shoot Out
The participants will have to dribble past three obstacles
and shoot into the goal post. Points will be awarded
for the number of goals scored and the shortest time
taken for the whole team to complete the game.
 Corporate Maze
After our co-ordinator has shown you the way, the team
must move through the maze by remembering the correct
path. All the team members must pass through the maze
and stepping out of line will result in starting from
the beginning. Once again this is a timed game and
depends a lot on team work and good memory.
 Bridge Building
Each team will build a bridge according to the instruction
leaflet supplied. At least one team member must cross
the bridge to prove to the co-ordinators that the bridge
is strong enough and can be crossed. Points will be
awarded depending on the time taken to build the bridge
and knot-tying skills used.
 Aquadot
Each team has to build an aquadot with a set of pipes
standing on tripods made from bamboo sticks. If properly
assembled, the water should travel from one end to the
other, where each team should have placed a container
to be filled up with water. Points will be given on the
time taken to assemble the aquadot properly and the volume
of water in the container in the shortest time possible.
 Three-Legged Race
Two team members will have their feet bound together.
They then run along a set track, and on arriving to
the other side they untie themselves and tie the next
two team members, who will then have to return to the
starting point where another two mates will be waiting.
The same procedure is then followed bringing then to
the last lap. If the knot comes untied they will have
to restart the lap.
 Assault Course
This is basically an
obstacle race in which each team member’s objective
is to complete it in the shortest time possible.
Bucket Brigade
This is a race where a bucket full of holes and filled
with water has to be passed from one end of the line
to the other, in order to fill a larger a bucket. The
team who manages to fill the larger bucket with the greatest
amount of water in the shortest time possible, wins the
game.
Flip Race
You'll "Flip" over our flipper relay race!
Our Olympians must wear flippers and go for the gold.
 Crate Building
This game is a test of courage. The participant standing
on a wine crate is fitted with a full body harness. Attached
to the harness is a rope going up to a high anchor. His
team mates hand him more crates, which he has to place
on top of each other. Each time the participant is climbing
higher and higher on top of the crates. All safety precautions
are taken during this activity.
