 Archery
Often referred to as "the sport of a lifetime",
archery has a fascinating legacy that includes individuals
of all backgrounds and ages.
A target will be positioned some 10 metres away from
the participants and the aim is to hit the area with
highest points.
 Tight Rope Crossing
Can you manage to walk the tight rope and collect as
many rings as you can which are hanging without falling
off?
 Gauntlet
Can you picture Richard Gere in the movie 'First Knight'
going through the various deadly obstacles in order to
get to kiss Julia Ormond?
Can you picture yourself going through the same but
less deadly obstacles in order to gain as many points
as possible for your team?
 Pole Jousting
The Medieval sport of Pole Jousting is back. It is extremely
fun and amusing. The contestants use special biffers
and blockers to defend and attack their opponent, with
the intention of knocking them off the pole.
 Catapults
The slingshot, or catapult as it was called in 19th century
England, consisted of an elastic band fixed to a forked
stick.
To fire the slingshot/catapult, a spherical projectile,
such as a stone or lead ball is placed in a leather
pouch attached to the middle of the elastic bands. The
pouch
and the projectile are pinched together, drawn back
and released.
Our participants won't throw lead balls at each other
but water filled sponges.
