This is
another summer resort used by the locals and tourists
alike.
In 1961 two shipwrecks dating to about the 2nd century
B.C. and 5th A.D. were located on the sea-bed at the
mouth of Xlendi Creek under 35 metres of water.

Many
amphorae and several lead anchor stocks have been
recovered from these wrecks and are now in the Gozo
Museum of Archaelogy.
